The voting process for the 2022 MLB All-Star Game is still in full swing.
Fans are making their voices felt on social media and through the league’s platforms.
They want to see the stars of their team play in the exhibition game, but they also recognize other squads’ top talent when they see it.
For Chicago Cubs fans, getting outfielder Ian Happ into the All-Star Game is a matter of pride.
They have had a highly disappointing season so far, with a 25-43 record that is among the worst in the National League.
Happ, however, has been extremely impressive near the top of their lineup.
“Ian Happ leads MLB outfielders with a .387 OBP and ranks 2nd among NL OF with his .854 OPS. He has hits in 18 of his last 20 games, batting .375 with 11 XBH and 10 walks. Make @ihapp_1 an All-Star,” the Cubs’ official Twitter account posted, with the link to vote for the star outfielder.

Happ Has Achieved Something Remarkable
Happ has done something that is incredible difficult to achieve in MLB: cut his strikeout rate by roughly 10 percentage points.
The talented hitter is slashing .289/.387/.467 with seven home runs and five stolen bases.
Yet, the most impressive part of his statistical profile may be his improved strikeout rate.
Last season, he fanned in 29.2 percent of his at-bats.
This time?
He has managed to cut that to 19.5 percent.
That’s awfully impressive and speaks volumes about his ability to make adjustments.
He probably deserves to be an All-Star just by that number alone.
The Cubs are doing their part: hopefully Happ can get the recognition he deserves one way or another.
The Cubs would probably be the worst team in the league without him.
