With three of the four premier shortstops off the board, fans of teams in need of a shortstop are hoping and praying that their team will make a play for the last one available, that being Dansby Swanson.
The 28-year-old had a career year in what could prove to be his final season in an Atlanta Braves uniform.
Swanson hit .277 with 25 home runs and 96 RBI during the regular season.
With Carlos Correa, Trea Turner, and Xander Bogaerts all getting massive deals this winter, Swanson is sure to garner a nice payday as well.
A Chicago Cubs fan shared a funny TikTok expressing her desire for the team to go big on Swanson, adding that she thinks the free agent shortstop “would look good in Cubbie blue.”

Cubs Fans Have One Demand
The Cubs haven’t made a big splash for a position player in quite some time.
Swanson could help them break that trend.
By virtue of playing in Chicago, one of the bigger markets in professional sports, the Cubs certainly have the financial resources to pull something like this off.
The 28-year-old was a key factor in the Braves World Series run in 2021.
The Cubs are a team that could use a shortstop, or any impact bat for that matter.
Signing Swanson might help take some of the sting out of losing Willson Contreras, who ultimately signed with the rival St. Louis Cardinals.
It also might give the Cubs a chance to bounce back into contention in a weak NL Central division.
