The Minnesota Vikings have been the most surprising team in the league through three weeks.
TJ Hockenson is still on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, and Jordan Addison has only played one game.
Even so, Sam Darnold is wheeling and dealing and playing the best football of his career, and the Vikings are 3-0.
Moreover, two of those wins have come against apparent Super Bowl contenders like the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans, and the Vikings have dominated those games from start to finish.
That’s why Vikings Hall of Famer Cris Carter demanded some respect and attention.
In his recent appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Carter called Stephen A. out for not talking about the Vikings (via The Purple Persuasion).

Smith tried to look down on the Vikings’ 3-0 start to the season, wondering why he should talk about them after watching Sam Darnold play poorly for six years.
Carter hit back at him by stating that he’s changed his mind in the past, citing the times he talked about Geno Smith and Baker Mayfield and how coaching can help struggling quarterbacks make a comeback.
Smith, who rarely backpedals right away, had no choice but to admit that Carter had a valid point, and it’ll be interesting to see what he has to say about the Vikings.
Granted, it’s been just three weeks, but Darnold is playing almost perfectly, and the Vikings have beaten two elite teams in a convincing fashion, so we should give more respect where it’s due.
