The Texas Rangers have won 12 of the 14 games they have played this month.
They play in the same division as the surging Seattle Mariners and the reigning World Series champs, the Houston Astros.
Despite that, they have found a way to keep defending their top spot in the AL West.
With a 72-48 record, they have been one of the best teams in baseball and the very best in their division so far.
You can say that a lot of that recent success stems from their incredible offense and, specifically, their starting shortstop Corey Seager.
The sweet-swinging lefty hitter keeps mashing the ball and is having the year of his life.
Well, per MLB, he is also having the month of his life.
Corey Seager just keeps on raking. 💪

Since August 2, Seager has a whopping seven home runs and 15 RBI.
He is hitting .354 over that span, which is actually not that far from what he has done this season.
Yes, he is slashing an incredible .350/.410/.666 with a 1.075 OPS (a career-high), 22 home runs, and 73 RBI in 349 plate appearances.
Signed two offseasons ago in exchange for a contract guarantee of $325 million, Seager has been everything the Rangers had hoped and more.
They also gave Marcus Semien $175 million that 2021-22 offseason, hoping that the two talented players would eventually lead the Rangers back to the postseason.
They failed last year, but after Texas made other investments to shore up their pitching staff this offseason and focused on developing their own players, they blossomed.
Barring a catastrophe, the Rangers will return to the promised land in 2023, and with Seager leading the way, they are looking very dangerous.
