In just his first full season in the Major Leagues, Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder Corbin Carroll has earned a starting spot on the National League All-Star roster.
The All-Star Game itself will take place on Tuesday at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
Carroll is a native of Seattle and grew up cheering for the Seattle Mariners.
Outside of T-Mobile Park is a picture of Carroll to hype fans up for the All-Star festivities.
On Twitter, Pey-Lin Carroll, the mother of the star outfielder, thanked the Mariners for placing the picture of her son right near the gate that she and her family entered through countless times when Carroll was a child.
To whomever made the decision to place CC7’s photo at the gate that our family has entered through 100s of times: thank you! pic.twitter.com/wKIkjl1vLa

This is a nice gesture by the Mariners.
Carroll may not be one of their own, but he grew up cheering for them and attending their games.
Now, with the All-Star festivities underway and Carroll having been selected, he has a chance to experience a special homecoming, with his family in attendance to see him play in this year’s big game.
Carroll is a prime contender for the National League Rookie of the Year Award and has put together some very impressive stats, which have led him to his first ever All-Star Game.
Carroll is hitting .289 with 18 home runs, 48 RBI, and a .915 OPS.
He is also reaching base at a .366 clip and slugging .549.
In just his first full season, he now has the chance to play in the All-Star Game at a ballpark he once called home.
The game will get underway at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will air on FOX.
