At the start of the season, the Boston Celtics said that former head coach Ime Udoka was suspended for an entire year due to inappropriate behavior with a staffer.
Since then, the storied franchise decided that instead of keeping Udoka around, they wanted a full-time deal for Joe Mazzulla.
That means they have parted ways with Udoka, who is technically free to coach anywhere else in the NBA.
But the baggage that comes with Udoka might be too much for many franchises, who would surely face scandal at his hiring.
Despite that, Steve Bulpett of Heavy.com is reporting that members of three different NBA teams have called to “gather intel” about Udoka.

According to Bulpett, these team representatives have been looking for information about Udoka, including his phone number.
We don’t know which teams are asking about Udoka and there is also no evidence that they are seriously considering hiring him.
If any front office were to take on Udoka, some things would need to happen.
Most notably, Udoka would have to sit down before the press and truly explain himself and offer a formal apology for his past behavior.
Additionally, any team agreeing to a contract with Udoka would have to defend its actions and explain why Udoka is receiving another chance.
In the months ahead, there are a few head coaches who will likely lose their jobs, that’s just the nature of the NBA.
Udoka’s name will be tossed around as a possible replacement again.
Will any team take a chance and bring him back into the league?
