Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers have had a love-hate relationship with Patrick Beverley ever since he joined the team.
When they acquired him in the summer, many weren’t sure how he would fit in: was he coming to LA to take over for Russell Westbrook or would he be a bench player?
Most importantly, would his combative personality work well within the team that Darvin Ham was leading?
The results have been notably mixed so far, with Beverley scoring career lows in nearly every category, including from the three-point line.
“Over his last 11 games, Beverley’s shooting has been on an upswing as he’s made 48.7% of his 39 attempts from 3PT range and overall, he’s shooting 54.4% from the field in that span.”

But NBA Writer Jacob Rude did some digging and he has found that Beverley is starting to find his way in Los Angeles.
From Rude:
“Over his last 11 games, Beverley’s shooting has been on an upswing as he’s made 48.7% of his 39 attempts from 3PT range and overall, he’s shooting 54.4% from the field in that span.”
This statement was made before Monday night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.
During that match, Beverley put up 6 points and 7 rebounds and was 2-of-4 from the three, which is pretty consistent with the upward swing he’s been on.
So, is Beverley heating up and finally ready to become an important part of the Lakers roster?
It’s unclear and far too soon to tell but LA fans hope so because they have been lacking a strong presence from beyond the three-point arc for a long time.
Just a few weeks ago, there were rumors of Beverley being traded to another team but we haven’t heard anything about him departing in a moment.
If this rebounding from the three-point line continues, will it help or hurt Beverley’s chances of leaving the Lakers?
