The Washington Commanders have been through quite a lot over the last few years, with the team struggling on the football field while dealing with a front office and ownership that has been a mess for the past two decades.
Fortunately, the Commanders have an opportunity to start fresh during the 2023 NFL season, with the team now under new ownership and, as a result, having some light at the end of the tunnel for the struggling franchise.
Although a lot of drastic changes for this franchise will likely come after the 2023 campaign, with the new ownership group getting a chance to evaluate everything over the course of a season, the team still has some promising young players and undisputed leaders on the team that they might want to keep around long-term.
One of those players is star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who just received high praise from head coach Ron Rivera for his leadership skills and the respect he gets in the locker room among his teammates, via John Keim of ESPN.
Rivera on Terry McLaurin's leadership (based in part off his interview with the @thepivot): "Now it's not just by example, but he's adding his two cents. He's like EF Hutton; when he talks everyone listens."
Go ahead google EF Hutton.

As arguably one of the best wide receivers in the game today, McLaurin will be tasked with trying to get this offense back on track in 2023, with rookie quarterback Sam Howell under center for the Commanders.
It seems as though it’s Howell’s job to lose at this point, with all signs pointing to him being the starter come Week 1, which means he needs to find a connection with the team’s best wide receiver as quickly as he can during training camp.
