It’s an exciting time to be an Indianapolis Colts fan now that Anthony Richardson could become the next big thing in the league.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, there might be another reason to look forward to the upcoming campaign if you’re a Colts fan.
According to Adam Schefter, the team has just released its first-of-its-kind alternate uniform for when they host the Cleveland Browns at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 7.

Per the team’s website, the inspiration behind this “Indiana Nights” alternate uniform comes in response to the fans’ demands to have a black helmet featuring a combination of the blue and blacks from Indianapolis’ night sky.
Besides the black helmet — which is the first in franchise history — the uniform features a heather pattern over the franchise’s iconic blue, both in the jersey and pants.
The shoulder stripes run horizontally across the shoulder pads, and the numbers are white with a black outline, also featuring the Colts’ secondary logo.
According to Schefter, the team will also wear the uniform in select games in the upcoming seasons, and the jersey and more gear are already available at the Colts’ online store.
The Colts enter the season as a bit of a question mark, as the AFC South Division could be up for grabs, but having a rookie quarterback — especially one that looks so raw — could make it tough for them to be legit contenders.
