Despite rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson being unavailable after he sustained a season-ending injury last week, the Indianapolis Colts still went out and almost got a win over a talented Cleveland Browns team on Sunday.
The Colts lost by a final score of 39-38, but it wasn’t due to any lack of effort on their part, especially from All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor.
Taylor looked more like his old self on Sunday, as he rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries, in addition to catching three passes for 45 yards.
The Indianapolis running back might have played a little too well, however, as he shared on social media after the game that he was drug tested by the league following the matchup.
Drug tested soon as I get back in the end zone 😂

Before this past weekend’s game against Cleveland, the Colts had Taylor on a bit of a pitch count since he sat out the team’s first four matchups of the season due to being on Indianapolis’ physically unable to perform list.
So Sunday was the running back’s first real chance to get back to being the main ball-carrier in the Colts’ offensive backfield, and he definitely proved that he can still make a significant difference out on the field.
Unfortunately, the loss to the Browns this past weekend drops Indianapolis’ record to 3-4 this season, and they’re now in third place in the AFC South.
The Colts and Taylor will attempt to get their record back to .500 and remain in the hunt for a playoff spot when they host the New Orleans Saints next Sunday afternoon.
