Jonathan Taylor’s days with the Indianapolis Colts could soon come to an end.
Even though Taylor could be forced to stay with the team and play under his current deal, it now seems like it could be a matter of time before he finds a new home.
According to Colts beat writer Destin Adams, the interest in Taylor has been ‘highest than expected.’
I've been told the trade offers coming in for #Colts Jonathan Taylor are "Higher than expected."
But any trade would also require a team agreeing to a contract extension to prevent the dispute following Taylor to his new team.

Again, the big hurdle about making a move for him is that any team that trades for him would also have to sign him to a contract extension.
Taylor is reportedly looking to be among the league’s highest-paid running backs, if not the highest.
That could make sense, granted that he’s still just 24 years old and was the league’s leading rusher just two seasons ago.
Nonetheless, the market for running backs has been nothing short of brutal, and recent history actually supports GMs refusing to spend big bucks or commit a lot of money into backs.
More than that, having to give up a lot or a very valuable asset to get a running back and then sign him to a big contract doesn’t seem like the wisest move in today’s game, not to mention the fact that he struggled for most of last season with a recurrent high-ankle injury.
Taylor’s talents and impact aren’t up for debate, and he would make any team better, that’s for sure.
For now, however, it seems like we’ll just have to wait and see how this situation unfolds as the season gets closer.
