The Indianapolis Colts received bad news on the injury front ahead of their Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
T.Y. Hilton, the Colts wide receiver, who missed the first five games of the 2021 NFL season with a neck injury that happened in preseason and required surgery, will not play in Week 7 either.
Colts ruled out WR T.Y. Hilton for Sunday night’s game at San Francisco.

In his Week 6 return, he caught four passes for 80 yards, but he suffered a quad injury against the Texans.
Nice to have TY HILTON back 🤩

T.Y. Hilton
Hilton enters his 10th season as an Indianapolis Colt.
He has seen a string of quarterbacks during his tenure: Andrew Luck, Jacoby Brissett, and Philip Rivers.
Hilton has not fully experienced the Carson Wentz era having only one game with him.
His best season was in 2016 when he caught 91 passes for 1,448 yards.
Hilton has 50 career touchdowns.
He will be 32 years old in November.
Quad Injury
Not much is known about his quad injury.
The only good news is that the Colts did not send him back to IR.
He was on IR for the preseason neck injury.
The Colts are a better team when he is on the field.
Colts coach Frank Reich — who’s been in this league as a player and coach for 30+ years — says TY Hilton gave one of the best pregame speeches he’s ever heard before this one.

Colts In 2021
The Colts are 2-4 in the AFC South.
They did not get their first win of the season until Week 4.
Their three losses were to the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and Tennessee Titans.
Since then, they defeated the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans but dropped another game to the Baltimore Ravens.
In spite of all of this, they sit in second place in their division.
The Titans are leading at 4-2, and both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans are at 1-5.
Getting on a winning streak would help their cause in an effort to stay close to the perennial favorite, the Titans.
No one exactly knows what the Colts are capable of yet in 2021; time will tell.
