The Indianapolis Colts enter the upcoming campaign with plenty of question marks.
For starters, Jonathan Taylor wants to be moved, and losing the focal point of your offense is always a major blow.
But more than that, the biggest question was whether they would throw Anthony Richardson into the fire right away, and their latest decision offers little-to-no clarity about that.
According to NFL insider Dov Kleiman, the Colts have listed both Richardson and Gardner Minshew as QB1 on their official website’s depth chart.

Truth be told, it would be wise to take things slowly with Richardson.
Taylor or no Taylor, their chances of competing for a divisional title or a playoff berth seem quite slim at the moment, as both the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars are in a better position as of now.
Richardson obviously needs as many snaps and reps as he can handle to develop his game, but maybe putting him out there too soon will only hurt his confidence.
We’ve seen multiple players struggle early and never be able to bounce back from those growing pains.
He didn’t play a lot in college, and as impressive as the physical traits were, he’s still raw and far from a finished product.
Minshew has already proven what he’s capable of in the league, and while he’s by no means a star, they could do a lot worse than having him out there to start the season, all while their prized rookie keeps working on his game before eventually taking over.
