The Indianapolis Colts made a bold move by selecting quarterback Anthony Richardson fourth overall.
Richardson was one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the 2023 draft class.
Now as a member of the Colts, it will be interesting to see how his rookie year plays out.
Richardson has already done some on-field work with the Colts as a part of the rookie minicamp.
It will be interesting to see how he develops all offseason and if the Colts plan on starting him in Week 1.
Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin spoke glowingly of Richardson on Good Morning Football.
He talked about how the rookie has “great energy” and is a “great, humble young kid.”

Franklin also mentioned how Richardson is “thirsty to get better.”
That is something you want from all of your draft picks but especially your rookie quarterback.
Richardson is a raw prospect but has all the tools to be a great NFL quarterback.
Now he gets to work with Colts head coach and offensive guru Shane Steichen.
The hope is Steichen can get the best out of Richardson and turn him into a great NFL player.
Anyone can look good throwing the ball in practice but seeing him in game action where he has to make reads will be critical.
The Colts drafted Richardson with the idea that he will be their franchise quarterback for many years.
His first offseason will be a major building block in the player that he hopes to become.
