Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor did not practice for the first time in his football career last week.
He was also out of action in the team’s Thursday Night Football win against the Denver Broncos.
His situation did not improve over the weekend, for he was still listed as a non-participant during their practice last Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Taylor was doing some rehab work during the portion of practice open to the media.
But after those indefinite times, Colts fans can have a sigh of relief after an update from The Athletic’s Zak Keefer.
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has returned to practice today, a good sign for his chances to play Sunday vs. Jacksonville.

Keefer tweeted, “Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has returned to practice today, a good sign for his chances to play Sunday vs. Jacksonville.”
There’s still no certainty that Taylor will suit up in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But attending practice after a while is a positive step toward playing again.
Taylor has 328 rushing yards and a touchdown, to go with 44 receiving yards on nine catches.
He only has one 100-yard rushing game so far this season.
Other Colts Players Skipping Wednesday’s Practice

Running back Nyheim Hines and defensive end Tyquan Lewis had limited participation.
Former Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore and Yannick Ngakoue received rest days.
Meanwhile, guard Quenton Nelson was a full participant despite ankle and shoulder injuries.
