After an NFL offseason filled with drama and uncertainty regarding star running back Jonathan Taylor’s future with the Indianapolis Colts, the unthinkable might happen in Week 5, with the young back ready to get back on the field.
Although Taylor was seemingly determined to get traded during the offseason and arguably came close to being dealt to the Miami Dolphins, a future with the Colts might still be possible, as he practiced with the team this week and seems to be preparing to get back to work.
In Week 5, the Colts will host the Tennessee Titans in a crucial divisional game, which could ultimately help determine the outcome of the AFC South crown down the road.
Even though Taylor appears ready to go for Week 5 against the Titans, new head coach Shane Steichen isn’t ready to announce his playing status for Sunday’s game in Indianapolis, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
Colts coach Shane Steichen on Jonathan Taylor's status for this week: "We'll see." Indy had a walkthru today, practice tomorrow and Friday, and Steichen said he wanted to see Taylor practice before making any decisions.
Steichen added Taylor is up to speed on the offense, etc.

With all four teams in the AFC South sporting 2-2 records coming into Week 5, every game from here on out, especially divisional games, will be crucial to winning the division title and being playoff-bound.
Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson appears to be a star in the making with some impressive performances under his belt already, and that offense would only get better with the addition of Taylor coming out of the backfield.
That said, it’ll be interesting to see what the Colts choose to do, with this game against the Titans being an important one moving forward.
Getting Taylor back on the field will only help the team’s chances of coming out on top.
