The Indianapolis Colts made one of the most shocking and head-scratching decisions in recent NFL history last season.
They fired Frank Reich after a dismal start to the year and replaced him with former team legend Jeff Saturday, who was serving as an NFL analyst for ESPN before that and had zero experience as an HC at the collegiate or professional level.
Needless to say, that experiment didn’t turn out very well, outside of a shocking win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
So, now, coach Jim Irsay has finally come to his senses and is looking at Head Coaching candidates who are actually qualified for the job.
With that in mind, the Colts will bring in Broncos Defensive Coordinator Ejiro Evero for a second interview.
Evero, who kept Vic Fangio’s impressive defense and made them even better last season, has reportedly been quite impressive in this round of interviews, also getting a second interview with the Houston Texans, per Tom Pelissero.
The #Colts are bringing in #Broncos DC Ejiro Evero for a second interview for their head coaching job, per source.
Evero also has a second interview Wednesday with the #Texans. He has impressed in this cycle.

More than that, the Colts will also need to go to great lengths to solve their quarterback situation.
Neither Matt Ryan nor Nick Foles are NFL-caliber QBs anymore, and sophomore Sam Ehlinger was far from impressive in the limited chances he got.
Names of the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo, Baker Mayfield, Derek Carr, and even Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have been tied with interest from the Colts, a team that has struggled to get over the hump despite its strong defense since Andrew Luck shockingly retired back in 2019.
