It’s been an eventful couple of days for the Indianapolis Colts.
First, superstar RB Jonathan Taylor shockingly requested a trade, to which team owner Jim Irsay respectfully declined.
Now, the team has announced that star rookie Anthony Richardson will miss today’s — and most likely tomorrow’s — practice after undergoing a nose procedure to correct his septum.
Anthony Richardson had a procedure on his nose yesterday to correct his nasal septum. He will miss practice today and depending on how he feels we expect him to return tomorrow.

Needless to say, this minor procedure shouldn’t affect Richardson’s ability to be on the field when it actually matters, but young players need as many snaps and reps as they can get, especially those who are as raw as Richardson.
Expectations are as high as they’ve ever been in Indianapolis, as they may have finally found a legit starter for the first time since Andrew Luck’s shocking retirement.
Richardson’s athletic traits are simply remarkable, with speed, lateral quickness, and arm strength that’s simply off the charts.
Then again, there are serious doubts about his accuracy and decision-making, and he didn’t get to play as much as other quarterbacks do in college, so he may need more time to get his legs under him and get a true hold of the NFL game.
Richardson is raw and was a polarizing prospect throughout the whole NFL Draft process, but even his biggest doubters admitted that the physical potential was too good to overlook.
The Colts have struggled to make the playoffs or compete for their division mostly due to poor quarterback play, which is why they’ll be a major question mark next season with their rookie star under center.
