Over the last couple of years, Aaron Rodgers has become a polarizing figure and developed a reputation for being something of a diva.
He left the Green Bay Packers earlier this offseason on less than great terms, and it is likely that some cheeseheads said “good riddance” when the future Hall-of-Famer departed.
But he seems revitalized as a member of the New York Jets, and there is optimism that he may be able to turn the clock back a bit with his performance on the field.
He recently agreed to a restructuring of his current contract that will result in him taking a serious pay cut.
Colin Cowherd says that this move indicates that perhaps Rodgers is putting his new team first and that he’s serious about winning.
"That's not a shave. That's a brand pivot… It's saying 'I want to win.'"

Cowherd, as he himself admits in the above video, has been harsh on Rodgers over the years, but now the quarterback has a shot at redemption in his new surroundings.
His new surroundings include reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and last year’s Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner, and he also has old cohorts Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb by his side.
Not too many people are picking the Jets to reach or win the Super Bowl, but if they stay healthy and if Rodgers plays well and is team-oriented, they will have at least a puncher’s chance of getting to the big game.
The organization hasn’t won a world championship since Joe Namath led them to victory in Super Bowl III in the late 1960s.
