The Boston Celtics are now on the brink of elimination after their latest loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The series is just 3-2 in Philly’s favor so the Celtics can definitely come back but they are definitely in a bad position.
Colin Cowherd isn’t so sure they can pull a comeback off and it reminds him of a promising but troubled NBA team from a few years ago.
Calling their latest game “a complete dud,” Cowherd said that the current Celtics team looks and feels a lot like the Oklahoma City Thunder featuring Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden.
“It’s starting to remind me of the Oklahoma City team with KD and Westbrook,” Cowherd said on his show Wednesday morning.
"It's starting to remind me of the Oklahoma City team with KD and Westbrook… You are seeing signs of tension."

Cowherd argued that the Celtics have a few strong players but are only “just variations of good.”
While Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are unquestionably excellent, they don’t have what it takes to win the Finals.
Cowherd said that this lack of a championship could lead to the team’s downfall.
Like the Thunder, the Celtics might start to suffer from inner strife if they continually remain good but not great.
This could cause dysfunction within the locker room and in-fighting too.
The man who will get the most blame for the team’s failures would be none other than Tatum, according to Cowherd.
And that could result in him packing his bags and leaving Boston.
The Celtics will need to make some changes, possibly very big ones, Cowherd stated.
Otherwise, they will remain one of the best teams in the league but not champions.
