The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, an exciting time period for fans.
The draft allows teams to start fresh at certain positions, allowing them to improve on the previous season.
Given the depth at the position, teams are looking for answers at quarterback in particular for the 2024 draft.
At least four quarterbacks are said to go in the first round, with reports indicating that more could be taken depending on team needs.
One of the top-four prospects is J.J. McCarthy, who just helped the University of Michigan win the national title.
Several teams have been proposed as potential landing spots for McCarthy, but in a recent segment of “The Volume,” Colin Cowherd and John Middlekauff both agreed that the Minnesota Vikings could be a good fit.
“I don’t love J.J. McCarthy,” Cowherd said, but he said, “I think he’d work” in Minnesota.

Cowherd has strong beliefs about the Vikings’ coaching staff, especially their head coach, Kevin O’Connell.
He pointed to the fact that Josh Dobbs was able to win his first game as a starter for this team despite not practicing with them.
This is a testament to the system O’Connell has built, that a quarterback can succeed no matter where they come from.
It will be interesting to see if the Vikings keep their current picks in the first round or if they will try to package their two firsts and move up.
They could be in line for McCarthy with pick 11, but if a team before them is high on him, the Vikings could be up a creek without a paddle and forced to pivot elsewhere.
