Heading into the 2024 NFL regular season, no one knew what to expect from the rebuilding Washington Commanders, who had overhauled the coaching staff, going from Ron Rivera to Dan Quinn and bringing in rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft,
The consensus was that the 2024 campaign would be rough for the new-look Commanders, as it could take a few years for Daniels to get comfortable on the NFL level, especially without a ton of talent around him on the offensive side of the football.
Although there was a lot of doubt about Daniels’ ability to be a star on the NFL level while staying healthy because of his risky style of play, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner has been much better than expected during his first season in the league.
On Sunday, Daniels put on a show once again as he helped his team win a fourth game on the season at the expense of the struggling Cleveland Browns.
Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports felt compelled to take to his X account to comment on Daniels’ performance, as he believes the rookie is messing with people at this point while being on the gridiron.

Daniels finished with threw for 238 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception while also adding 82 rushing yards on 11 carries.
Although all the talk about incoming rookie quarterbacks this year was about Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears, Daniels has stolen the spotlight and is the clear favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year if he can keep leading the Commanders to wins.
