After making the blockbuster trade for superstar Kevin Durant during the 2022-23 regular season and recently acquiring sharpshooter Bradley Beal in a deal with the Washington Wizards, the Phoenix Suns might not be done yet, with plenty of holes to fill before next season.
Unfortunately for Phoenix, their trade assets have run dry after those two massive trades to bring in Durant and Beal, but the team can still move center Deandre Ayton.
Before the Suns traded for Beal, the one player in Phoenix that was thought to be on the move was Ayton, as he didn’t see eye-to-eye with former head coach Monty Williams and was clearly unhappy with his role on the team.
However, the team was reluctant to give him up in the deal for Beal, which leads many to believe he could be headed elsewhere in a trade to help bolster the bench in Phoenix.
Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports believes that the New York Knicks would be a good fit for Ayton.

The Knicks are coming off a season in which the team did better than expected, as the signing of star point guard Jalen Brunson was a game-changer for New York, resulting in a playoff appearance.
Despite a disappointing second-round exit in the postseason, the Knicks have a reason for optimism going forward, but Brunson needs more talent around him, and bringing in Ayton could be a good start.
The real question is what would New York have to give up in the trade, and would it mean having to part ways with All-Star forward Julius Randle, which might be a deal breaker for the Knicks.
