The Philadelphia Eagles are 1.5-point favorites ahead of Super Bowl LVII vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
Needless to say, it’s not usual to see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs as underdogs, let alone on such a big stage.
More than that, the early reports from Las Vegas state that over 60% of the tickets and 80% of the money are on the Eagles to win the big game, which may not be that big of a surprise, all things considered.
The Eagles have arguably the most talent in the league, with GM Howie Roseman doing an outstanding job of stacking that locker room.
However, Colin Cowherd believes people might be overlooking the Chiefs, as he put together a list of the 12 best players in that game, and the Eagles only have a 7-5 advantage in that regard.
Moreover, three of the four best players in the game are all Chiefs — at least according to Cowherd — so maybe they’re better than people think:
12. Brandon Graham – PHI
11. Joe Thuney – KC
10. Darius Slay
9. Jalen Hurts – PHI
8. Haason Reddick – PHI
7. A.J. Brown – PHI
6. Creed Humphrey – KC
5. Lane Johnson – PHI
4. Chris Jones – KC
3. Jason Kelce – PHI
2. Travis Kelce – KC
1. Patrick Mahomes – KC

Notably, he ranked Jalen Hurts as the ninth-best player in the game despite his MVP-caliber season.
Cowherd admits he also snubbed players like James Bradbery and Frank Clark, pointing out that we’re set to witness a game between multiple future Hall of Famers.
So, whoever wins, we can be sure that this will be an epic matchup to remember for years to come.
