The Los Angeles Lakers jumped out to a 1-0 series lead over the Golden State Warriors.
This Western Conference semifinal matchup has been the most highly anticipated in some time.
Most people look at the head-to-head battle between Stephen Curry and LeBron James.
But in Game 1, Anthony Davis was the best player on the floor for the Lakers.
Golden State seemed to not have an answer for Davis, who scored 30 points and brought in 23 rebounds.
Despite the home loss, Colin Cowherd thinks Warriors fans need to relax.

"The Lakers came in with two days of additional rest… It's not an excuse, it's a reason. This team adjusts." pic.twitter.com/JiKcPDBms4

The Lakers had a major rest advantage heading into this first game.
That is vital for an older player like James and the rest of the Lakers roster.
Also, the Warriors did not seem to have much of a game plan.
The first game of a series is usually where teams feel each other out, and Golden State felt shooting threes was their best bet.
The Warriors have been in so many hard-fought series over the years, that losing one game will not bother them.
Expect them to come into Game 2 with a much better plan, and have more success.
Now that the Lakers have retaken home-court advantage, Golden State will have to win a game on the road.
During the regular season, they only had 11 road wins, but last series they won two games in Sacramento.
This was a big win for the Lakers, but the series is far from over, and we are in for a long one.
