The Pittsburgh Steelers finally made a move to acquire Aaron Rodgers after several months of conversation.
At one point, it seemed like a deal was never going to get done, but they found a way to make it happen.
On paper, the Steelers have their best starting quarterback in many years, as they’ve had inconsistency at the position since Ben Roethlisberger retired.
It will be interesting to see what Rodgers can do, especially at the age of 41.
There’s a clear split between members of the media about what his impact might be.
FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd recently gave his take on the situation, saying the Steelers’ ceiling with Rodgers is lower than what others believe.
“I think I’m doing Aaron a solid saying 9-8, my guess is it could be 7-10,” Cowherd said on “The Herd.”

Cowherd’s prediction is significant because head coach Mike Tomlin has never had a losing record in his 18 seasons.
Other analysts believe Rodgers will help the Steelers win a lot more games, perhaps leading them to 10 or more if everything comes together.
Nobody knows what’s going to happen until the regular season starts.
Rodgers was said to be the savior for the New York Jets’ organization, but that didn’t turn out to be the case.
Expectations are high for Rodgers heading into the 2025 season, but it’s up to him and his teammates to deliver.
