The Buffalo Bills entered the season with mixed reviews.
Some thought this would be the beginning of the end for them, as Josh Allen didn’t have a lot of weapons.
Some even claimed he would have his worst season yet.
Fast forward to today, and it’s been the complete opposite.
That’s why, given how he’s played this season and fared in the playoffs in the past, Colin Cowherd believes the pressure in Buffalo isn’t on Josh Allen right now.
Instead, he thinks this could be a make-or-break postseason trip for Sean McDermott in upstate New York.
Talking to John Middlekauff in their podcast, Cowherd pointed out that Allen has a passer rating of 100 in the playoffs.
He’s been, per Cowherd, a B+ to A- quarterback in the postseason, as opposed to Lamar Jackson, who usually deflates after the regular season.
That means McDermott could be gone if the Bills lose in the first round.

They argued that the Bills should win their first playoff game regardless of the opposition, even if it’s Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
As such, their crucial matchup would come on the road at Baltimore.
The Ravens already dominated them 35-10 earlier this season, so if McDermott fails to make the needed adjustments to improve and get the job done, he could be on his way out.
It’s hard to fire a coach after the season the Bills have had.
Then again, it’s always been about one thing and one thing only: The Vince Lombardi trophy.
