The 2023 NFL Season didn’t work out as planned for the Los Angeles Chargers.
After signing Justin Herbert to a massive contract, many fans expected this team to compete for the top spot.
However, for a variety of reasons, they weren’t able to live up to their preseason hype.
The team decided to move on from Brandon Staley, leaving a vacancy at their head coaching position.
As fans are now well aware, Jim Harbaugh has recently been selected as the team’s newest head coach, who will hopefully infuse a spark to this organization.
The reaction from the league has been positive, and fans seem to be on board with this hiring.
Colin Cowherd also thought highly of this move, saying “I think they’re going to be a high-end playoff team immediately.”

Cowherd also called Harbaugh a “sure thing,” given his track record and history of winning.
He has won at the NFL level, and as proven by Michigan’s recent national title, he has also won at the collegiate level.
It will be interesting to see what the Chargers can accomplish in 2024 and if Harbaugh can make the type of difference that analysts like Cowherd expect.
With Herbert under center and several other young pieces on the roster, Harbaugh enters a situation where he can hopefully grow and mold the team to his liking.
The AFC West continues to be a tough division to make traction in given the strength of the Kansas City Chiefs, but if anyone is going to take over as head coach and try to dethrone them, Harbaugh is likely the person to get that done.
