The Philadelphia 76ers ended their season in disappointment once again.
And once again it was at the hands of the Boston Celtics.
But this time losing the series hurt more than in previous years.
That is because the 76ers had a 3-2 series lead over Boston before losing the final two games.
One person who is under plenty of scrutiny for the loss is Sixers head coach Doc Rivers.
Many fans are criticizing him for his inability to make mid-game adjustments.
In the second half of their Game 7 loss, the Sixers were completely dominated.
They got outscored by 21 points and ended up losing the game 112-88.
The third-quarter performance from the Sixers was one of the worst in NBA history.
Somehow they managed to score 10 points and the game was essentially over at that point.
Rivers is now 6-10 in Game 7’s, and his old-school tactics are not working with these new-school players.
According to Colin Cowherd, Rivers is a culture coach and does not make the necessary in-game tweaks.
"He's an old school coach in a new school world… It's hard to constantly evolve."

Rivers is one of the winningest regular season coaches in NBA history.
But his inability to coach at a high level in the playoffs is a major issue.
Rivers has only won one championship in his 24 years as a coach.
It might be time for the Sixers to look elsewhere after another disappointing end to their season.
There are many quality head coach candidates available this offseason.
Two that pique many people’s interest are Nick Nurse and Monty Williams.
Philly fans are ready for changes after this recent disappointment.
It appears that Rivers may be the fall guy for the organization.
