The Miami Heat might need to make a decision with Jimmy Butler pretty soon.
Butler has been named as a potential trade candidate for the past year or so, and with no contract extension on the horizon, chances are he won’t finish the season in South Beach.
With that in mind, sports analyst Colin Cowherd shared his thoughts on his situation, stating that the Golden State Warriors look like a great fit for him.
Jimmy Butler on the Warriors would work.

That’s actually true.
The Warriors have been in the market for another star for quite a while now, and he fits the bill right there.
He can play elite defense, and while his offense has taken yet another step back this year, we’ve seen what he’s capable of doing when it matters the most.
He’s a clutch two-way player who could relieve pressure from Stephen Curry as a scorer and a playmaker.
He’d be a big upgrade over Andrew Wiggins, who seemingly peaked a couple of years ago and then regressed.
Jonathan Kuminga is inconsistent and not ready to take the offense’s reins, so he can make a big impact there.
Then again, he’s also old and injury-prone.
Perhaps he could embrace a role similar to what Andre Iguodala did during the early days of the dynasty.
Even so, it will all depend on what the Heat ask in return for his services, as Butler won’t be a star for much longer because of his age, and while they need to make the most of their title window, they cannot jeopardize their future.
