The Los Angeles Clippers have been without Russell Westbrook for a few weeks now and they want him back as soon as possible.
Following Sunday night’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Kawhi Leonard spoke about Westbrook and all that he brings to the team.
“He’s another guy that comes in with energy, giving us a fast pace… Another defender, another scorer. We definitely miss him,” Leonard said to Joey Linn.

Since the start of March, Westbrook has been dealing with a hand injury and recovery from surgery.
The Clippers are hoping that he will return before the start of the playoffs.
Before his injury, Westbrook was averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game on 45.2% from the floor.
Like everyone else on the team, Westbrook has adjusted to the new lineup and is playing very well alongside Leonard and Paul George.
He might not always be thought of as the most important player on the Clippers’ roster but Westbrook is doing a lot.
That is clear because since losing Westbrook, the team has hit a rough patch.
They have gone 5-4 during their time without Westbrook and have also lost four of their last five games.
This further highlights the fact that the team wants their start guard back as soon as possible.
The Clippers are still the fourth seed in the West and currently have a ticket to the playoffs.
But Leonard and others admit that they are missing something without Westbrook and he is a vital part of the culture and chemistry they have built.
From his speed to his energy, defense, and personality, Westbrook adds a lot to the team and they are eager to see him suit up again.
