The Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs have developed a strong rivalry over the past couple of years.
Joe Burrow has fared quite well at Arrowhead Stadium, up to the point where some even renamed it “Burrowhead Stadium,” including Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval.
Pureval taunted the Chiefs ahead of their playoff game last season, and that obviously backfired.
That’s why he played a little safer this time when he teamed up with the NFL, Bengals, and new OT Orlando Brown Jr. to announce their upcoming matchup in Week 17 next season.

This was just hilarious and another example of excellent PR and marketing by the National Football League, and props to the mayor for owning it and acknowledging that his trash-talking didn’t do much to help his team.
You never want to poke the bear, especially when that bear comes with a Super Bowl pedigree and has Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Andy Reid leading the way.
Notably, Brown’s cameo in this clip could also raise some controversy.
The star offensive tackle had been a major contributor to the Chiefs’ success, and it was odd to see him leave to join their biggest rivals of recent times, especially considering they don’t exactly get along.
The AFC is so stacked with talent, especially at the quarterback position, so Mahomes and the Chiefs will have a tough time going back-to-back.
That will only make that matchup in Week 17 all the more interesting, and you better believe it’ll have some strong playoff implications,
