The Chicago Cubs have suddenly found themselves back in postseason contention thanks to an impressive run of success over the past several weeks.
After a big win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night, they enter play on Thursday with a record of 55-53.
They’ve won eight of their last 10 games and are now just three games back of first place in the NL Central.
The North Siders are also now only 2.5 games back in the Wild Card race.
After the game, Christopher Morel, who had two hits and drove in three runs, spoke with Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports and had a bold prediction for the rest of the season.

Morel says that this is some of the most fun he has ever had playing baseball.
He feels confident in his teammates and also feels the support from the rest of the players and the coaching staff, which has helped him stay relaxed and produce.
Morel then commented on his home run and said that he was looking for a changeup in that at-bat against left-hander Brandon Williamson.
He said that he had been expecting Williamson to throw it after challenging him with it a few times.
Morel was attempting to pull the ball and he ultimately was able to drive it out to left field for a home run.
Morel closed out his interview by predicting that the Cubs would ultimately be in the postseason by the end of the year.
The Cubs are red-hot and are making a push with two months left in the season.
