For the Dallas Cowboys, the 2023 season might represent their best opportunity to get back to the Super Bowl and deliver a championship to a city that’s been starved for decades.
The Cowboys have the requisite talent on both sides of the field to make some real noise in the postseason, especially considering how open the NFC looks.
While the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles have stronger claims, Dallas looks more than capable of joining them as legitimate contenders.
Offensively, everything starts with Dak Prescott who comes into the year healthy.
Prescott largely struggled during the 2022 season and never looked quite like himself, though an entire offseason to recalibrate likely did him some good.
Although his future with the Cowboys isn’t in question, Chris Broussard believes that Prescott has a lot to prove via First Things First.
“Dak’s not on the hot seat but he is under TREMENDOUS pressure,” Broussard said.

Broussard argues that Dallas is formidable in just about every area except at quarterback.
Broussard bolsters his argument by going through Prescott’s stats from 2022 and the numbers aren’t exactly encouraging.
With the Cowboys all-in on winning a title, Prescott will naturally receive the most pressure from the organization and the fans to perform when the stakes are at their highest.
Throughout his career, Prescott has looked like a quality starting quarterback though now the questions are getting louder about his ability to lead a team to a championship.
Dallas has all the pieces necessary to compete, though it’s up to Prescott to get them to where they want to go.
