The Green Bay Packers have had an embarrassment of riches at the quarterback position for over 20 years.
This run started with Brett Favre, followed by Aaron Rodgers, and now Jordan Love is seemingly set to be the franchise star for the foreseeable future.
Rodgers’ exit was surprising to some, and fans weren’t sure if it was a great idea to pivot to Love.
This trade has worked out well for the Packers thus far, but the New York Jets might not be the happiest about their investment.
Rodgers got hurt in his first game for the Jets, missing the entire 2023 season.
While he’s seemingly healthy this year, Rodgers’ on-field performances have left something to be desired.
He hasn’t looked like an MVP-caliber quarterback, despite being surrounded by some of the best offensive talent he’s had around him in his career.
With that in mind, many fans and analysts have indicated that Rodgers could consider retiring.
Chris Broussard gave his opinion on the situation in a recent segment of “First Things First” on FS1.
“I think he’s done. He shouldn’t want to come back… He’s not gonna make a team better at this point in his career,” Broussard said.

To Broussard, Rodgers’ prestige isn’t enough to keep him around after the 2024 season.
The Jets, or any other prospective team, for that matter, should move on from him, hoping to find someone younger and more mobile.
While Rodgers hasn’t hinted at retirement, it seems likely that he will hang up his cleats sooner rather than later.
