Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos are looking to rebound after a catastrophic 2022 season in which everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong.
Wilson had just arrived in an offseason trade from the Seattle Seahawks, and he was expected to make Denver into a Super Bowl contender.
Instead, he turned in the worst season of his career, and his new team won just five games while putting forth an absolutely horrendous offense.
This season, Wilson is under plenty of pressure to return to form — in fact, Chris Broussard said on “First Things First” that he’s under the most pressure of his entire career.
How much pressure is on Russell Wilson this season?
"The most pressure of his career. Last year, he played poorly & Nat Hackett got the blame. … If he plays poorly again this season I'm not so sure he's a definite Hall of Famer anymore." — @Chris_Broussard pic.twitter.com/9IdOQ1w2CS

Broussard even doubled down by saying that if Wilson has another bad season in 2023, the quarterback may not end up making the Pro Football Hall of Fame, at least in his opinion.
Last year, Wilson completed just 60.5 percent of his pass attempts and ended up with just 16 touchdown passes and an 84.4 passer rating.
It is an open question whether he’s now past his expiration date or if his struggles could be more attributed to the poor coaching of Nathaniel Hackett.
The problem for the Broncos is that their wide receivers are seriously banged up.
Tim Patrick tore his Achilles earlier in training camp and will miss the entire season, and the injury came after he missed all of 2022 with a torn ACL.
Meanwhile, Jerry Jeudy had to be carted off the practice field on Thursday with a hamstring injury the team expects to sideline him for several weeks.
Ultimately, it could turn out that trading for Wilson was simply a big mistake for a franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2015 season.
