Over the past few years, the Cincinnati Bengals have greatly exceeded expectations, with the once-lowly franchise now becoming a perennial heavyweight in the AFC with Super Bowl aspirations.
The main reason for the team’s success over the past few years can be directly attributed to the arrival and rise of superstar quarterback Joe Burrow, even though he missed a portion of his rookie season due to a torn ACL.
In only his second season in Cincinnati, Burrow led the Bengals to the Super Bowl and gave the Los Angeles Rams all they could handle despite falling short in the end.
The progress has continued from there on out, as the sky seems to be the limit for the talented quarterback and the team that has rallied around him in Ohio.
Although the Kansas City Chiefs continue to get all the buzz after winning their second Super Bowl title with Patrick Mahomes under center, Fox Sports analyst Chris Broussard believes the Bengals’ championship window is open moving forward thanks to Burrow, via First Things First.

It’s hard to argue with Broussard’s statement as the Bengals have not shown any signs of regression, even though they did lose to the Chiefs in the NFL playoffs last year but gave them a fight to the finish, with Kansas City barely getting the win to advance.
As long as Burrow stays healthy, as he takes a pounding behind that offensive line in Cincinnati, the Bengals should be able to compete for a title to finally lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
