With the Denver Nuggets on the cusp of winning the franchise’s first NBA title, there’s been a lot of talk about Nikola Jokic’s legacy and where he currently stands among his superstar peers and greats of the past.
Whenever a player of Jokic’s caliber wins a title, it immediately puts them in a different category, as usually, they start to get mentioned with the all-time greats, depending on the kind of impact they have on the game.
Jokic has proven over the course of the past few seasons and during this incredible playoff run that he is among the greatest players ever to play this game and will only add to his legacy moving forward.
On First Things First, Chris Broussard of Fox Sports believes that Jokic won’t pass Kevin Durant with a title, but by the time his career is over, Durant will be in his rearview.
"After this championship, Nikola Jokić will not be ahead of Kevin Durant. By the time his career is over, assuming he wins more, he'll be a better all-time player than KD."

With the Nuggets looking like they can be the team to beat for many years to come, Jokic can continue to add to his legacy with multiple titles and perhaps a few more NBA MVP awards.
The one thing that tends to separate great players is the total number of titles won, so he’s still got a ways to go in order to be in the same category as Stephen Curry and LeBron James, but getting there might not be out of the realm of possibility.
Only time will tell where Jokic ultimately ends up in the greatest players of all time conversation, but he’s well on his way to shake things up.
