The Kansas City Chiefs got stomped by the Philadelphia Eagles in one of the most one-sided Super Bowls of all time.
The game was much more of a blowout than the 40-22 final score indicates, offset by some late touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes.
Even though the Chiefs failed to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, one Kansas City wide receiver made history in the process.

Worthy, who had eight receptions, caught a 24-yard TD with seconds to go in the third quarter before hauling in a 50-yard TD late in the fourth quarter to cap his historic night.
The rookie out of Texas stepped up after the loss of Rashee Rice to a torn ACL, while Hollywood Brown had yet to debut after suffering a shoulder injury in the preseason.
He became the de facto No. 1 receiver for Mahomes and got better as the season went on, giving the fan base reason to be excited about his future as a potential staple who can provide the explosiveness it has lacked since Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins a few years ago.
The loss hurts, but it was a stellar coming-out party for Worthy, who could be this offense’s next star.
