After three games and three straight losses, the Chicago Bears are making a strong case to be considered the worst team in the NFL right now, with little to no hope that the team can turn things around during the 2023 NFL season.
The storied franchise in the Windy City seems to be a mess right now from top to bottom, with finger-pointing all over the place and frustration from the players being the one thing seen on a weekly basis.
The one player everyone was looking forward to watching during the 2023 campaign was rising star Justin Fields, who put on a show during the last few weeks of the 2022 NFL season.
Fields looked like a player who would take the next step this season, especially after the team showed their confidence in him by trading the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and bringing in veteran wide receiver D.J. Moore.
Unfortunately for Fields, he’s taken two steps back and is on the verge of getting benched while his teammates, namely wide receiver Chase Claypool, vent frustration to the media about not being used correctly so far, via Mark Carman of CHGO Sports.
Asked by @CourtneyRCronin if the Bears were using him correctly to show “the best that he can do” Chase Claypool said… “No” pic.twitter.com/gCqQcz4xg9

In three games played thus far, one that he didn’t even start, Claypool has caught four passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.
As a potential star player acquired in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, Claypool was expected to play a sizable role in Chicago.
Clearly, that doesn’t appear to be the case, and there’s no telling whether that will change moving forward.
