Charlie Blackmon has been around the game for quite some time.
He came up with the Colorado Rockies in 2011 and has been with the team ever since, emerging as one of the top players in all of baseball.
Now 36, Blackmon is prepared for his 13th season in a Rockies uniform.
The Rockies star has been around for some of the best and worst moments in team history.
He helped guide the team to the postseason in 2017 and 2018.
On Monday, the veteran outfielder got a chance to catch up with Greg Amsinger and Dan Plesac of MLB Network, and he discussed what it means to him to have been a part of the Rockies organization for so long and what it will take for the team to overcome the odds and reach October.
"The @Rockies want me here. I want to be here. And to have that work together for as long as it has is special."

Blackmon first expressed his gratitude to the Rockies organization and discussed what it takes for a player to spend so much time with one organization.
Blackmon acknowledged that it doesn’t happen very often anymore and that over the course of a player’s career, a lot of things have to go right in order for it to happen.
He also expressed how much he enjoyed being a part of the Rockies organization and his gratitude to the team for wanting to keep him around.
Blackmon was then asked about what it would take for the Rockies to reach the postseason.
He expressed his confidence in the talent that is already on the roster and says that the key for them will be their group of young players and the way they perform.
