Nearly all NBA fans and experts have been blown away by the talent of Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic.
Jokic is now a household name because of his victory in the Finals and the way he commanded the court with seemingly little effort at times.
Charles Barkley is one of the many impressed by Jokic, and he is reminded of a former player.
Speaking on The Bill Simmons Podcast, via Harrison Wind, Barkley summed up what makes Jokic so special: it’s his ability and insistence to do anything for his team on any given night.
“He’s content if he has to score 30 or 20, get 17 rebounds or 12 rebounds, or get 12 assists or 15 assists,” Barkley said.
Comparing him to Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs, Barkley said that Jokic will do whatever his team needs, without question, no matter what it is.
Charles Barkley on Nikola Jokic: "He's content if he has to score 30 or 20, get 17 rebounds or 12 rebounds, or get 12 assists or 15 assists…If you don't appreciate that, you dont know anything about basketball. That's brilliance right there."

Barkley’s point speaks to the versatility of Jokic, something that many others have noted and celebrated.
Some would think he’s only capable of scoring in the low post or grabbing rebounds because of his intimidating size.
And while he can do all of that with ease, Jokic is also an expert floor general and is able to assist unlike anyone else.
He is talented in multiple ways, which allows him to produce however his team needs.
Some have called Jokic a one-man team and it seems that Barkley agrees with that.
Like Duncan, Jokic is also soft-spoken and not very attracted to the glitz and the glamor of fame.
He loves his team and he wants to win but he also wants to enjoy his time off the court with friends and family.
Of course, he has one other thing in common with Duncan: he is now an NBA champion.
