The Los Angeles Chargers host the Baltimore Ravens on “Monday Night Football” in what will be a measuring stick game for them.
The Chargers have a surprising 7-3 record in their first season under head coach Jim Harbaugh, who will go up against his brother John Harbaugh, the longtime head coach of the Ravens, in their first head-to-head matchup since Super Bowl XLVII.
Before the matchup, the Chargers made a handful of roster moves.

Signed CB Eli Apple to their active roster. Elevated S Tony Jefferson and LB Caleb Murphy from their practice squad,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote on X.

Hurst has caught seven passes for 65 yards in seven games this season for L.A. and provided some depth at what is one of the team’s weakest positions.
Apple, who was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, was signed by L.A. in October, and he has played in three games for them this season.
Jefferson hasn’t played since Week 4, and Murphy has gotten spot duty in two games for the Chargers since they signed him to their practice squad in late October.
The Chargers have the NFL’s top scoring defense, and they have allowed more than 20 points just once this season, in Week 11 when they scored a clutch 34-27 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.
While their overall offense has been mediocre, they have gotten a strong season from running back J.K. Dobbins, while rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey may be developing into a star.
A win against Baltimore would raise more eyebrows across the NFL and perhaps even elevate expectations as far as what L.A. can do come playoff time.
