The Brooklyn Nets really wanted to take down the Boston Celtics on Sunday night.
They didn’t get what they wanted as the Celtics scored another victory, 103-92.
But even though the Nets left the arena feeling bad, there were still some good feelings shared during the game.

One particular moment was heart-warming.
During the game, the Nets played a nice tribute video to Blake Griffin, who was returning back to Brooklyn to play against them after two seasons of being a beloved figure for the team.
Fans were very receptive to the video, applauding and celebrating their former forward.
This isn’t the only NBA location where fans still love Griffin even though he’s moved on.
Blake In Brooklyn
Griffin was acquired by the Nets back in 2020-21 in the midst of a slew of big signings.
With James Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Griffin, the team was trying to give Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving more help on the floor and secure a first championship ring.
During his time with Brooklyn, Griffin averaged 8.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.
He was helpful to the team but wasn’t really a pivotal part of their rotation and played an average of 21 minutes a game.
In the end, all of those signings weren’t enough to guide the Nets deep into the postseason.
During his first year with the Celtics, Griffin is putting up 4.1 points and 3 rebounds in just 12.5 minutes a game.
He is becoming more of a bench player but he has had several great moments on the floor, picking up the slack during the absences of Al Horford and Robert Williams.
Griffin has been in the league for a long time and has long been a beloved figure known for his charming personality and explosive dunks.
He might have moved on from Boston, but the fans still hold a special place in their hearts for him.
