The Boston Celtics are the reigning NBA champions, and their young stars are on top of the world right now.
Jayson Tatum just won the Olympic gold medal, albeit in a diminished and often-discussed role, all while Jaylen Brown is living a larger-than-life offseason.
From fashion shows to some crazy underwater workouts, it’s been an eventful couple of months for the California alumni.
The start of the season is just around the corner, and Brown had the honor of being featured on the cover of TIME magazine.
He’s there on their latest issue of TIME100 Next, which discusses the world’s most influential rising stars.

Brown is more than just a basketball player.
He’s always hung his hat on that.
He’s an activist and someone who’s also made the rounds because of his intellect, even lecturing in college.
He’s always felt disrespected, especially after winning his first NBA championship.
Brown felt snubbed by Team USA and even called out Nike for it, stating that they were responsible for leaving him off the team.
He didn’t back his conspiracy theory or wild claims with any evidence, but that might be more than enough motivation to take things even further next season.
Everybody will be aiming for the Celtics and going for their crown, and they will be a very tough team to beat if their Finals MVP gets even better.
