Al Horford is one of the most talented shooters for the Boston Celtics and he is adamant about making sure people know that.
While speaking to the press recently, Horford was asked about some troubles he’s been having on the court and he referred to himself as an “elite shooter.”
This received a few chuckles from the gathered media members.
Those chuckles caused Horford to reply with, “You don’t think I’m an elite shooter?”
"You don't think I'm an elite shooter?!?!"

Although Horford was friendly with his response, you could sense that he was also serious with his question.
Based on the numbers, Horford is in fact an elite shooter.
He was actually second in the league when it came to three-point percentage in the 2022-23 season, behind only Luke Kennard of the Memphis Grizzlies.
For the year, Horford landed 44.6% of his threes.
He averaged 2.3 threes per game out of 5.2 attempts.
With that being said, there is truth to the fact that Horford has been having some trouble lately.
His three-point percentage has dropped down to 29.7% and his overall field goal percentage is 40%, down from 47.6%.
Despite that, he has been a very important part of the Celtics.
That is because he is a versatile player who can do more than just shoot.
He has been producing 7.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists a game.
He has also made 2.3 blocks per game, which nearly match his career-high of 2.4.
No matter what some people think, Horford has a lot of tricks in his bag and many ways he can help his team.
That is certainly the definition of elite.
