For months, people have talked about this Boston Celtics team, and not always for good reasons.
The Celtics drew mockery and criticism for reaching the NBA Finals against somewhat easy opposition.
Still, they shut down all the outside noise, and they’ve been at their best when it counts the most and going against an elite opponent.
With their win in Game 3 vs. the Dallas Mavericks, they’ve now joined an exclusive club.
As shown by NBA history on Twitter, the 2023-24 Celtics are now the ninth team to win at least ten consecutive games in a single postseason.
They’ve joined the 2003 Brooklyn Nets, 2012 San Antonio Spurs, 2016 and 2017 Cleveland Cavaliers (10), 1989 and 2001 Los Angeles Lakers (11), 1999 San Antonio Spurs (12), and 2017 Golden State Warriors (15).
The Celtics are the ninth team to win 10+ straight games in a single postseason.
The other eight:

If that’s not dominance, then what is it?
Granted, going against injury-depleted teams in the first three rounds of the playoffs may have made all this run a little less impressive.
But they’re now up 3-0 on Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and they’re not to blame for other teams not being at full strength.
The Celtics have been the most dominant team in the league from start to finish and the championship is theirs to lose at this point.
Props to Brad Stevens for putting this roster together and for sticking with his two stars when most analysts urged him to break them up, and props to coach Joe Mazzulla for learning from his mistakes from his rookie season.
