Many of the best teams in the NBA tried to keep up with one another during the offseason, with blockbuster moves being made left and right throughout the summer.
The one team that may have come out on top once the dust settled ahead of this upcoming 2023-24 NBA season is the Boston Celtics, who made multiple moves in an attempt to be one step closer to winning it all.
Once the NBA offseason got underway, the Celtics didn’t waste any time in trying to improve their roster as they brought in veteran scorer Kristaps Porzingis in a deal that ultimately resulted in the team sending Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies and Grant Williams ending up with the Dallas Mavericks.
The new trio of Porzingis, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown was an intimidating sight on paper, making Boston arguably the team to beat in the Eastern Conference until the Milwaukee Bucks acquired superstar guard Damian Lillard.
As a result of the Lillard trade, the Celtics were able to acquire defensive-minded guard Jrue Holiday in a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, which sent shockwaves throughout the league and earned high praise from Celtics legend Rajon Rondo, via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston.

It seems that no one has a bad thing to say about Holiday, as he’s made quite an impression during his time with different teams around the league.
Rondo clearly thinks the addition of Holiday makes the Celtics that much better, as he brings a winning mentality and a player that will do all the dirty work out there on the basketball floor.
