Friday night was a big night for the Baltimore Orioles, who continued their recent surge by winning their third consecutive game.
The team defeated the slumping Pittsburgh Pirates by a final score of 6-3.
However, the story of the game was outfielder Cedric Mullins.
The young outfielder picked up four hits and drove in three runs in his five at-bats.
More importantly, Mullins ended up hitting for the cycle.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, the 28-year-old came to the plate looking to complete his mission, with a home run being all he needed.
Mullins unloaded for a three-run shot to put the game out of reach.
On Twitter, the Orioles posted a video of Mullins’ home run.

This was certainly a night to remember for Mullins.
The 28-year-old outfielder came up to the Major Leagues back in 2018, but did not play his first full season until 2021.
That year, he burst onto the scene with 30 home runs, earning an All-Star nod.
After a slight regression last season, the slugger appears to be finding his form again.
The home run in the eighth inning was his fifth of the season, and with it, he brought his RBI total up to 31 on the season.
The slugger is also hitting .268 with a .365 on-base percentage, a .478 slugging percentage, and an OPS of .843.
But Friday night was his time to shine, and he certainly did not disappoint as the Orioles continued their surge and gained a game on the first-place Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.
