The Cleveland Cavaliers are just weeks away from the start of the new season and they’re bringing back their biggest stars.
On Monday morning, the team officially announced they resigned center Tristan Thompson.
Thompson, who has been in the league for 13 seasons, has played for multiple teams like the Sacramento Kings, Boston Celtics, and Chicago Bulls, but he has always come back to Cleveland, the team that drafted him years ago.

Thompson was picked as the fourth overall selection in the 2011 draft.
He played in Cleveland for years and was part of their championship team in 2016, cementing his place in team history.
Last season, he averaged 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds during his 11.2 minutes per game.
He is now 33 years old and playing less than he has in the past, suggesting his time in the league is coming to an end.
Does that mean he will start and end his career with the Cavaliers?
Some people thought Cleveland would make major changes during the summer but they have kept their roster intact.
They resigned Donovan Mitchell and held onto other players like Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and more.
It appears as if they want to try another season with their roster under new head coach Kenny Atkinson.
However, changes could come halfway through the season if the Cavaliers don’t compete well.
They were decimated by injuries last season but they still had some impressive wins.
What can they achieve in the new year?
Also, how much will Thompson play after his minutes diminished over the last several years?
